Agriculture And Its Pains
Even the farmers who have been agriculturists for several generations are not interested in farming now. They educate their children and send them away to the cities. This is because ours is a snobbish society that respects only white collar jobs. Given a choice no girl would like to marry a hard working farmer in our country. Besides, on many occasions farming has become a loss making venture and natural disasters like floods have ruined the Indian farmers. They feel very sad that they have not been able to improve their position at all despite the whole nation making a fast buck in the software boom.
