Much Ado About Nothing – Movie Review

Released in 1993, Kenneth Branagh’s film version of William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado about Nothing” has elements of romance and comedy intertwined. The story revolves around the two romantic pairs of “Hero &Claudio” and “Benedick & Beatrice.” The stark contrast in the approach of realization of feelings and love for each other is taken up very well. The expressions and situations give way to hilarious comedy, yet retaining the essence of romance. Additional inputs of touching scenes filled with emotion and dramatics make the film a delightful watch. Though the film is not a complete take on Shakespeare’s play, there is definitely something that captures our interest in “Much Ado about Nothing.”
