The Indian Railways deserves our appreciation for introducing this modern concept and for easing the hassles involved in train ticket reservation. The employees union vehemently protested against this arrangement and argued that this will take away several thousand jobs. Undaunted, the Railways has implemented the scheme and the days of standing before the ticket counter and waiting for a long time are over. Yes, problems still remain like the bulk booking of holiday season in minutes after they are opened and many have been denied reservation. But all said and done the train travelers are immensely pleased with this arrangement.
