Tata had reiterated not long ago, that a promise is a promise and he would never raise the price of the NANO car above rupees one lakh. The car was launched on the April 9th and the prices that were announced for the three models took the people by surprise. The lower end model was priced at Rs.125, 000 while the luxury model was stiffly priced at Rs.175, 000. The reasons for the upward revision may be well justified, but can the family that rides on a two wheeler precariously afford this price?
