Underfoot Pain? Could Be Plantar Fascitis!

Ouch! Suffering from pain on the heel and underside of the foot? It is possible this could be due to plantar fascitis, an inflammation of the plantar fascia which links the heel bone to the toes. The pain in plantar fascitis is most acute in the mornings when one wakes up. After some time the pain subsides but can worsen with excessive strain on the foot by standing, running or walking. Plantar fascitis occurs mostly in middle-aged people and is said to do so because of wear and tear of the foot over the years. Giving the foot proper rest and restraining from pain-causing activities for some days may help to alleviate the problem. Additionally application of an ice pack also helps in pain reduction.
